How Do Roblox Executors Work?
An executor places a small code runner inside the Roblox game on your device and feeds it the scripts you give it. Nothing runs on Roblox's servers, so everything starts and ends on your own phone or PC.
- The executor sits on the same device as Roblox. It has to share the device, because the code runner lives inside the game app.
- You open a Roblox game. The game loads as it normally would.
- The executor connects to the running game. Players call this "injecting" or "attaching". On PC you usually press an Attach button after the game opens. On a phone the extra code is already part of the changed app, so it is ready once the game loads.
- You paste a script and tap Execute. The code runs in your copy of the game, and the steps to run scripts in Delta show what this looks like on Android, iPhone and PC.

Example: Delta. Delta is a mobile executor of the changed-app type for Android and iOS. Its Windows version is discontinued, and every copy needs a key. The Android file on the developer's own download server holds Roblox's own game engine with extra code libraries added on top, the changed-app pattern in plain sight. If you want the app itself, the latest Delta download page lists the current build and file size.
Roblox Executor vs Roblox Script
The executor is the runner, and the script is the set of instructions it runs. A script is a block of Luau, the language Roblox games are written in, based on Lua 5.1. Players often copy a script someone else published instead of writing one. That is why it pays to learn what a Roblox script is and how exploit scripts differ from the ones game creators write.
What Can a Roblox Executor Change?
An executor can change almost anything in your own copy of the game, such as your movement, what your screen draws and the menus you see. It can't change what Roblox's servers own, such as Robux, other players' saved data or actions the game checks on the server.
Roblox itself builds on this rule. Its security guide for game creators calls "never trust the client" the foundation of game security, warns that an exploiter "has complete control over their local state", and tells creators to make the server the final source of truth. The same guide lists what an exploiter can do from their own device, including firing a game's RemoteEvents "at any frequency with arbitrary arguments". That is why a careless game is the only place a script reaches other players.
| What a player tries | Possible? | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Change speed, jump or position | Often | Your device controls your own character's physics, so other players may see the change |
| See players through walls, highlight items | Yes | It only changes what your screen draws |
| Auto-click or auto-farm | Yes, but it can be flagged | It repeats actions the game allows, and the server can still check them |
| Add a menu or extra buttons | Yes | Menus live on your device |
| Get free Robux | No | Robux live on Roblox's servers |
| Edit another player's items or progress | No | Saved data lives on the server |
| Change a game's rules for everyone | Rarely | Only where the game's server accepts whatever a device sends through its remote events |
| Lift a ban set by a game's owner | No | Game owners ban from their side |
Fly, ESP and admin-command scripts fill the top rows of that table, and the guide to universal Roblox scripts shows who else can see each one.
What Is a Roblox Executor Used For?
Most players want to skip a grind or get an edge. The common jobs are auto-farming in games built on repeat tasks, moving faster or flying, seeing items and players through walls, and loading an admin menu with dozens of commands. Each one is the kind of "unfair advantage" Roblox's Community Standards ban, so these are also the uses that put an account at risk.
Do Executors Work in Every Roblox Game?
One executor can open any game, but the same script behaves differently from game to game. Delta's developer says that in games where the server checks movement, speed, fly and teleport cheats stop working, and that no executor gets past those checks.
Roblox now hands creators a switch for exactly this. Its Server Authority mode reached full release for all games on 9 July 2026, and Roblox's announcement says it "automatically rejects invalid client movements" and stops speed hacks without custom anti-cheat code. It is opt-in, so each game's owner decides whether to turn it on, which is one more reason a speed script can work in one game and do nothing in the next.
Game owners add their own layers. Some games demand a real, unmodified phone and refuse emulators or virtual devices. Owners can also ban players from their game, and Roblox's ban tool for creators covers a player's suspected alternate accounts by default.
What Types of Roblox Executors Exist?
Players and builders usually split executors into two kinds: internal executors, which run code inside the Roblox app, and external tools, which work from outside it. Internal executors come in two forms, a PC program that attaches to Roblox and a changed Roblox app on phones, while "server-side" and "online" executors are labels used in ads.

| Type | Devices | How it runs | Runs scripts? | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Internal, PC attach | Windows | A program attaches to the running Roblox app | Yes | Roblox's Windows anti-tamper, fake downloads |
| Changed app | Android, iOS | Its own Roblox app you sign in to | Yes | "Modified version of Roblox" message, fake APK or IPA files |
| Emulator route | PC running a phone app | A mobile executor inside an Android emulator | Yes | Roblox kicks detected emulator players |
| External | PC | A separate program that reads the game from outside | Usually no | Desktop only, fake downloads |
| "Server-side" | Inside one game | A hidden backdoor someone planted in that game | Only there | Scams sold as executors |
| "Online / no download" | A website | Nothing reaches your game | No | Offer lockers and malware |
The "server-side" row confuses many players, because sellers present it as a stronger executor. Delta's developer calls people selling "server sided scripts" fakes, and the explainer on FE and server-side scripts shows why a real one only works inside a game that was already backdoored.
Executors for Mobile
A mobile executor is a full Roblox app with extra code added. You install it next to the normal Roblox app, or in its place, and sign in to Roblox inside it. Delta's files show this, and Codex, another mobile executor, describes its own install the same way: you launch a "modded Roblox".
On iPhone the changed app installs as a separate signed app, so updating App Store Roblox does nothing for it. The Delta iOS install guide covers how that sideloaded copy gets onto an iPhone or iPad.
Roblox's rules already cover this design by name. Its May 2025 enforcement post counts "custom versions of the Roblox application binary downloaded from third-party websites" as modified clients, which describes a changed-app executor exactly. An account caught using one can be terminated. The only exemption is for players with edit permission, and only inside the place they can edit.
Executors for PC
On PC, executors are Windows programs that attach to the Roblox app, and that got much harder in 2023. That year the 64-bit Windows Roblox app started shipping with Hyperion, an anti-tamper system built by Byfron, a company Roblox bought in 2022.
Synapse X, once the best-known PC executor, shut down in 2023. Delta's developer now tells Windows users to run its Android app inside an emulator, which is the route the Delta Executor PC setup walks through. That route has a catch: since 7 August 2025, Roblox kicks players it detects on a third-party emulator unless they have edit access to the game.
Internal vs External Executors
Internal executors run inside the Roblox app and can run Luau scripts, while external tools stay outside it and act through screen overlays or simulated input. Some externals do more than read the game, so treat the split as a rough guide.
Is There an Online Roblox Executor?
No. As of October 2026 you play Roblox in the Roblox app on your device, so a stranger's website has no way into your game. Roblox announced in September 2026 that games will be playable in the Chrome browser by the end of 2026, but even then a third-party site won't reach into your session.
Pages promising an online or no-download executor are ads, and many lead to offer lockers or fake files. The breakdown of running Roblox scripts without an executor separates the few real options, like Roblox Studio in your own game, from the myths.
How to Get and Use a Roblox Executor

Players get an executor by downloading the build made for their device from its developer and installing it, then use it by opening a game, opening the executor's menu and running a script. Mobile executors install like apps: an APK file on Android, or a signed IPA file on iPhone in Delta's case. If nothing happens when you press Execute, the usual causes are an executor older than your Roblox app, an expired key or a script written for a different game. The Delta Executor not working checklist tests those causes one at a time.
Most free executors then ask for a key. You earn a free, temporary key by finishing ad tasks on a website, and some developers sell paid keys or licences that skip the tasks. Delta works this way, and the walkthrough for getting a free Delta key covers each step and the ad buttons to ignore.
The download itself is where most players get hurt, because fake builds copy real names. The warning signs are listed in the safety section below, and the same habits apply to script files, which the guide to safe Roblox script sources ranks by risk.
Why Do Roblox Executors Break After Updates?
An executor is tied to one version of the Roblox app, so each Roblox update can break it until the developer ships a matching build. In the gap, players see "out of date" or "upgrade" prompts and Roblox's Error 280 when they join a game.
Delta shows the pattern clearly, since its version numbers follow Roblox's Android builds. Its developer also warns that Delta "may become detected" when Roblox updates its anti-cheat. Before reinstalling anything, the Delta status check tells you whether a new build is out yet, and the Error 280 and upgrade fix explains the version mismatch behind those prompts. Never edit an executor's version number to skip an update; Delta's developer says this is detected and risks a ban.
Anti-Cheat Messages and What They Mean
Roblox shows a short, fixed message when its checks catch something on your device, and each one points to a different cause. The wording below comes from Roblox's Help Center page on anti-cheat messages and its Error 268 article, both updated in October 2026.
| Message you see | What Roblox caught | What Roblox tells you to do |
|---|---|---|
| "We noticed a modified version of Roblox was used on a device you recently played on." | A changed Roblox app, the way phone executors are built | Uninstall unofficial versions and reinstall from the website or app store on every device |
| "We don't allow emulators for accounts without place edit access." | An Android emulator such as BlueStacks or NoxPlayer | Play on a real phone or tablet |
| "We don't allow rooted devices." | A rooted Android phone or jailbroken iPhone | Undo the root or jailbreak |
| "Roblox cannot run inside of a virtual machine." | Roblox running in a virtual machine | Turn on GPU passthrough for the virtual machine |
| "Roblox has crashed due to incompatible software:" plus a file path | A program at that path interfering with Roblox | Close that program, or do a clean boot in Windows |
| "Roblox was stopped. Please ensure third-party software does not interfere with Roblox." | Outside software stopping the Roblox process | Close other software and clean boot |
| "You have been kicked due to unexpected client behavior" (Error 268) | Roblox says this is usually a network problem or a clash with apps like antivirus | Reinstall Roblox and check your connection |
Roblox says modified apps can be used to steal account information, and that repeated use can turn a temporary suspension into a permanent ban. Error 268 is the one to read carefully: gaming sites often blame it on cheats, but Roblox's own article gives network and antivirus causes, so the message alone doesn't prove an executor was spotted.
Are Roblox Executors Safe?
No executor is risk-free, and the risk comes in two separate layers. A real executor can still get your Roblox account banned, and a fake one can infect your phone or PC with malware.
Can You Get Banned for Using an Executor?
Yes. Roblox's help page on cheating and exploiting says exploiting breaks the Terms of Use "and will lead to the deletion of an account". The Terms add that bans can reach alternate accounts and cost you Robux and items.
Delta's developer calls bans "pretty rare" and suggests an alt account, but that is the seller's view, not a promise. Anyone who tries an executor anyway should keep it off their main account, and the page on whether Delta Executor can get you banned shows how Roblox spots the changed app and which actions draw the most attention.
Fake Executors and Malware
Roblox's own help page warns that many exploits are scams to get you to install malware, such as a keylogger that steals your password. Security firms have documented this pattern for years:
- Fake Xeno downloads (2026): Bitdefender reported in August 2026 that fake "undetected" Xeno executors, spread on Discord, gaming forums and hijacked accounts since early 2026, stole browser cookies, Discord and Roblox accounts, payment data and crypto wallets. They could also log keystrokes, take screenshots and use the webcam.
- Fake Solara and Electron sites (2024): Morphisec reported in October 2024 that look-alike executor sites, pushed up in search results, handed out zip files mostly hosted on GitHub that installed password-stealing malware aimed at student gamers.
- Older cases: ESET reports that a 2022 copy of Synapse X carried a backdoor, and that fake Solara executors spread on social media, one of them carrying a ransomware variant.
In every case the fake borrowed a real executor's name, which is why it can look identical to the real tool on a download page.
Is an Antivirus Warning a False Positive?
Not by default. Executor sellers often call every detection a false positive, and ESET warns that cheat sites use that line to talk players into switching off their security software. The detection name tells you more than the alert itself. Microsoft Defender names threats in a Type:Platform/Family pattern, and its malware naming guide separates types such as HackTool and PUA (potentially unwanted application) from Trojan, Backdoor, Ransom and PWS, its tag for password stealers.
A HackTool or PUA name describes a cheat tool, which is what an executor is, and it still breaks Roblox's rules. A Trojan, Backdoor, Ransom or PWS name describes malware behavior, so delete the file and scan the device whatever the download page claims.
Red Flags in Executor Downloads
- The page tells you to turn off your antivirus or press "Run anyway".
- The file comes as a password-protected zip.
- A survey, offer or "mystery box" stands between you and the file.
- The only link sits in a YouTube description or a direct message.
- "Keyless" or "undetected" is the main selling point, although no keyless Delta Executor exists.
Can You Make Your Own Roblox Executor?
Not without breaking Roblox's rules, because building one means reverse-engineering Roblox, which the Terms of Use forbid. Curious players have two legal routes instead.
- Roblox Studio is Roblox's free tool for writing and running your own Luau code. It runs on Windows and Mac, not on phones or Chromebooks.
- Roblox's bug bounty on HackerOne takes reports of real security bugs, and valid reports "are eligible for financial rewards" when testing stays inside the program's scope.
If what you actually want is your own menu of scripts, the tutorial on making your own Roblox script hub starts in Studio and needs no executor code at all.
Executor Terms Glossary
Alt account : A second Roblox account kept apart from your main one. Roblox can ban alts too.
API : The shared code core that some older PC executors were built on.
Attach / inject : The step where an executor connects its code runner to the running Roblox game.
Auto-execute : Scripts that run by themselves each time the executor loads; the guide to auto execute in Delta shows where those files go.
Ban wave : Many accounts banned at once. Roblox does not announce them, so word spreads through players.
Client / server : The client is your device's copy of the game. The server is Roblox's computer that decides what counts.
Detected / undetected : Whether Roblox's anti-cheat currently spots an executor. It is the seller's claim, not a promise.
Emulator : A PC program that runs phone apps.
External : A separate program that reads the game from outside, usually without running scripts.
Hyperion (Byfron) : Roblox's anti-tamper system, built into the Windows Roblox app.
Key system / Premium key : A free key earned through ad tasks, or a paid key that skips them.
Level : The permission level an executor's code runs at, not a quality score. Claims like "level 8" are unpacked in executor levels, UNC and sUNC.
Loadstring : A one-line script that downloads a longer script from the web and runs it. Each part of the line is explained in what a loadstring is.
Luau : Roblox's scripting language, based on Lua 5.1.
Modified client : A changed copy of the Roblox app. Mobile executors such as Delta work this way.
Script hub : A menu that bundles many scripts, so you pick one instead of pasting code.
UNC / sUNC : Community test lists that count which functions an executor supports. Scores are self-reported.
FAQ
What does an executor do when someone dies?
Outside Roblox, an executor is the person named in a will to carry out its instructions after someone dies. On this page the word means the Roblox kind: a program that carries out code.
Are Roblox executors illegal?
Using one breaks Roblox's Terms of Use, so Roblox can delete the account, but that is a rules question rather than a court one. The clearly criminal part is spreading malware inside fake executors.
Is Delta a Roblox executor?
Yes. Delta is a mobile executor for Android and iOS that works as a changed copy of the Roblox app and needs a key to run.
Are there free Roblox executors?
Yes, many executors are free but ask for a key earned through ad tasks. Delta is free by default, and its paid Premium key only removes the tasks.
Are open-source Roblox executors safer?
Only if you can read and build the code yourself. A ready-made build from a stranger can still hide malware, and fakes copy real projects closely.
What if you ran a fake executor?
Disconnect from the internet, uninstall it and run a full scan with Windows Security or Google Play Protect. Then, from a clean device, change your Roblox, Discord and email passwords, turn on 2-step verification and check saved payment methods.
Is Bloxstrap a Roblox executor?
No. Bloxstrap is a launcher that does not run scripts, and Roblox said its May 2025 modified-client rule shouldn't affect it because it "does not modify the client binary". Roblox also says it doesn't officially support it.
What does a level 7 executor mean?
"Level" is the permission level an executor's code runs at, not a measure of how good it is. Levels and test scores are self-reported by sellers, so treat a "level 7" or "level 8" label as a claim, not proof.
Conclusion
A Roblox executor is a code runner that changes your own copy of a game, never the server's records, and on phones it is a whole changed Roblox app rather than an add-on. Every one carries a ban risk, and fake copies carry malware, so the source matters as much as the tool. To see how Delta stacks up on platforms, keys and features, check which is the best Roblox executor for your device before you pick one.
